Our students participate in a customized, age-specific Port Townsend Library story time and book exchange. On the second monday of each month the children are split into two groups, the 2-3 year olds and the 4-5 year olds. The younger group walks to the library to see Jean, the Children’s Librarian, at 10:30 for a special Neighborhood Schoolhouse story time, followed by their older peers at 11:00.
Chaperones are always welcome!
Our friend Keith, another Children’s Librarian, comes to our school the second week of each month to refresh our school book supply with a large box of theme based stories and science related non-fiction as part of the Port Townsend Outreach Program.
Thank you to Port Townsend Library and staff for their dedication!
