I will be closing the doors of the Neighborhood Schoolhouse on March 30, 2012. The idea of giving up this project of my heart for the last 7 years, is so deeply upsetting to me that I can barely write, or believe that I am writing this email to you with the intent of sending it.Those of you who know me, also know that I am closing due to an accumulation of unworkable circumstances and NOT for a lack of love and passion for working with children and families. I will find a way to continue to advocate for families and play with children!

Unfortunately, my families have very little time in which to find another place to grow and learn and love. These are wonderful, hard-working families; parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles and foster parents who love their children and want to see them thrive! These are also people who must work FULL DAYS in order to feed their families and pay their bills. I know that most of you provide quality part time education however, I am hoping, hoping that everyone in this community can find the resources to help these families and 20 children between the ages of 3 and 5 years.

In addition, my wonderful teachers Alex Lovett and Jessica Breithaupt need a place to work and continue their wonderful, loving, educated work with children! Please hire them as well!

Even if I do not know you personally, I know of you and your program, your dedication, your creativity and your love that impacts each child and helps to create wonderful people for this world!
